Make sales with DeskPOS for Shopify

Search products to add to cart



There are two ways to search and filtering products:

1. Type product name into the "Search products" field

Press F2 or click to "Search products" field and type product name, sku, barcode or variant name. The results will generate dynamically in products grid below. To add a product to your cart click on the product card.

2. Use a barcode scanner to search products

You can use any USB barcode scanner to scan the barcode of an item. If the barcode is attached to a product, it will automatically search for that product and add one to your cart.

3. Use filters by product type and vendor

You can select product vendor or type of product for a more accurate search. Filters and the search field work together.


Updating the DeskPOS cart

When you add a product to the cart, the product becomes a part of the order. After all the customer's products have been added, you can review and update the cart before taking payment.

Change product quantity

Click [+] on first cart table column. Click "Qty" field and set product quantity.

Change product price

Click [+] on first cart table column. Click "Price" field and set product price.

Add discount

Click [+] on first cart table column. Click "Discount" field and set product discount percent.

Remove product from POS cart

Click [+] on first cart table column. Click trash button.

Add a note to the order

You can add a note to an order that's still in the cart. Click "Note" field and enter your note.

Applying total discounts to the cart

A cart discount is applied to all items in the cart. A cart discount can be a flat value or a percentage of the cart value.


Add a customer to the cart

Add exitsting customer

  1. Click "Select customer" on the cart
  2. Enter customer name, phone or email
  3. Click "Search" or press "Enter"
  4. Click customer line for add to the cart

Create a new customer

  1. Click "Create customer" on the cart
  2. Fill customer data fileds
  3. Click "Submit"


Take payment

Once the products have been added to the cart and the customer is ready to pay then press ‘Payment’ at the bottom right of the cart screen.
You can return to the cart to continue to add or edit the content of the cart by pressing the ‘X’ button or pressing 'Esc' key.

Complete a sale by choosing a payment method


Print Receipt

Once the products have been added to the cart and the customer is ready to pay then press ‘Payment’ at the bottom right of the cart screen.

Connect POS hardware

Barcode scanner

Once you have opened the POS and are ready to place orders you can simply scan a barcode to add 1 item to your cart. Scanning a barcode multiple times will increase the quantity in the cart by 1 unit.

Receipt printer

You will need to make sure that you install the Windows or Mac Drivers either from the installation disc provided by your printer vendor or by visiting them website to download the appropriate drivers.
